Can a dog's Canine teeth be removed?

Yes they can and often done with biters. Depends if you really want the dog and want to make things work. If the dog has serious aggression issues and you don't want to euthanize than it is a workable option.

Can a dog's Canine teeth be removed?
why are you asking?
Reply:I guess so......
Reply:is it a puppy or an adult dog?

if it is a puppy, then yes, if the permanent teeth are coming in, the vet can remove the canines.

Otherwise, if it's an adult, why would you want to remove it?
Reply:The real issue here is that the dog is afraid. Why not just keep him out of the situations he's fearful of? Hiring a trainer might help also. If the dog isn't being aggressive I see no reason to euthanize him. Removing his teeth is avoiding responsibility for the dog's behavior. It isn't going to make him less fearful, which IMO is what needs to be addressed.
Reply:Has anyone ever heard the word TRAINING?? It can be done no matter the age of the dog. This dog does not sound aggressive - sounds like fear issues which CAN be addressed with training. Get this dog to a good trainer/behaviorist and get it the help it needs to overcome these issues and your parents will have a much happier dog.
Reply:I believe that a dog that feels the need to bite is not a happy dog. Either fix his problems with training, if possible, or euthanize him.
Reply:Speak to another vet who might do this procedure. Explain how the dog will be put down if something isn't done.
Reply:They can be removed, but instead, what would be alot cheaper and kinder to the animal is just to keep outsiders away from your dog. Why isn't anyone liable for their own actions, without threat of euthanizing an animal or TAKING THEIR FREAKIN TEETH OUT THEIR HEADS, so they aren't liable if the dog bites someone....good grief. Put the dog in the other room when someone comes over.
