Can i return my ipod if a dog bite into it and left its teeth marks?

my friends dog got a hold of my ipod video and broke my headphones and left teeth marks in my ipod like on the screen and in the back of the silver part. please answer my question.

Can i return my ipod if a dog bite into it and left its teeth marks?
no dear, you cannot return it for damage by a dog, or you, or any outside force...that is not covered by ANY warranty. if your parents paid with a credit card, the credit card company may provide loss/damage protection...have them check the benefits of their card and see if they have some help there...otherwise there's nothing that can be done, and you'll have learned a valuable lesson about caring for expensive things (like keep a case on it and don't leave it somewhere unattended where a dog can get to it).
Reply:Ya right!
Reply:if you cant return it you should make your friend buy you a new one
Reply:HAHA I dont think so, unless you got dog warranty.
Reply:No you cant.. if it was a natrual cause like the ipod broke on its self you could return it .. BUT since Apple cant help keeping a dog away from your ipod they cant do anything .. SORRY :D
Reply:sure, if you had an extended warranty.. They'll take anything back.
Reply:They dont need to know that!! lol!
Reply:only if you got ur iPod before 1 year ago
Reply:you can not return your ipod if it is broken
Reply:I think you can return it if you have had it for less than a year.

If you can't have your friend buy you a new one.
Reply:No you cannot return it. Apple will not accept it. Warranty covers manufacturer's defects. Dog bites are not covered under warranty. Since it was your friend's dog that did the damage, you should have your friend buy you a new ipod.
Reply:Sure you can. You should do that right after your return your car when it hits 75,000 miles.
Reply:You're kidding right.
Reply:This site offers a free iPod video! It sounds like a scam but it really isn't, I got mine in the mail the other day. Just thought I'd share it with you :)
